A standardized penetration test for the tusks of a wild boar does not yet exist.
Numerical values to penetration power of tissues are only comparable, if used the same, standardized test. Because the penetration power depends in first and foremost on the penetration subject.
Values about the penetration power can be performed according to DIN EN 13567.
This penetration test is designed for fencing clothes and is carried out with a sharp foilblade (cross-section approx. 3x3mm).
They do 10 tests to form a middle-value.
Fencing clothes must have a penetration power at least 800 N.
This means that the fabric protects up to a 800 N.
When the power is even greater it penetrates the fabric.
According to this test our UL-vest protects up to 890 N.
According to this test our ULS-vest protects up to 1420 N.
According to this test our ULX-vest protects up to 1665 N. .
The penetration power toward boar-tusks will probably be stronger because they are not as lean as a foilblade. But there no values about this.
